Buprenorphine Waiver Training Course
939 W 5th Ave Anchorage, AK 99501
Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants are invited to attend the Buprenorphine Waiver Training Course, presented by Abi Plawman, M.D., Family Medicine & Obstetrics, Addiction Medicine, Multicare Good Samaritan Hospital, Washington.
This course provides the required training for physicians with an independent license and DEA certification to apply for a buprenorphine waiver. This course also provides the first 8 (of required 24) hours for ARNP/PA providers to apply for their certification. Before you come for the in-person training, you must complete the self-study portion and pass the post-test (approx. 4 hours). At this time SAMHSA has not finalized the additional 16 hours of ARNP/PA providers training, so after they completing the 8 hour training it will be necessary to wait until the additional content is announced and completed before applying for the waiver.
Funding for this initiative was made possible (in part) by Providers’ Clinical Support System for Medication Assisted Treatment (1U79TI026556) from SAMHSA.
